Today we started a new topic in Science 'Plants and Animals in the Local Environment'.
We sorted images into two columns 'plants' and 'animals' and created definitions for each of these words using examples.

We started our new topic Night time today!
This morning Year 2 started their new topic Night time. We all went into the main hall and we worked in groups to use our senses in order to identify the sounds made by different animals and to feel what objects were hidden in the secret boxes.

How can we stay safe on the internet?
Today is internet safety day! Do you know how to stay safe on the internet?
Here are year 2's TOP TIPS!
1) Never go on sites by yourself that you don't know are safe.
2) If you see or hear something you are not happy with, tell an adult straight away.
3) Always ask an adult before you go online, and tell them what you plan to do.
4) Never share personal information online, and share pictures carefully.
5) Don't write your name or address online.
6) Treat people online exactly as you would treat them in real life!
7) Don't click on pop ups.
